Frequently asked questions
What types of medications can I get from this consultation?
Dr. Aimee can prescribe one or more of the following medications during this visit
- Progesterone. Progesterone is the hormone that supports implantation and pregnancy. Taking additional progesterone after ovulation can help the fetus implant and increase pregnancy chances
- Letrozole. Letrozole is a medication that can induce ovulation in women who are having trouble ovulating on their own.
- Metrofmin. Metformin is a medication that helps the ovary function by reducing insulin insensitivity. It is often prescribed to women with a BMI over 30.
I'm pregnant and I got a low Progesterone Score, can this help me carry a healthy pregnancy?
If you have already received a positive pregnancy test and also have a low Progesterone Score, a progesterone prescription may or may not impact the health of your pregnancy. It is possible to get and stay pregnant with a low Progesterone Score and pregnancies can be at risk for reasons other than low progesterone.
Will I get a visit with Dr. Aimee?
No, this product does not include a visit with or access to Dr. Aimee Eyvazzadeh. Instead, Dr. Aimee will review your Ovulation Score and write a progesterone prescription for you, if deemed medically necessary.
Where will be prescription be filled & how soon will I receive it?
Your prescription will be filled by the Alto Pharmacy within 24 hours and delivered within 3 days
I do not have a Proov Progesterone score, can I purchase this product?
No, this product is only available for customers with a Proov Progesterone Score (from one of the eligible kits mentioned above) who purchase via Dr. Aimee’s virtual assistant within the Proov Insight app. If you do not yet have a Progesterone Score, please purchase a test kit here.
How much are the prescriptions?
Dr. Aimee can review your information and prescribe medications for $75.
The medication itself is not included in this cost. We will check if your insurance covers it first (we find around 70% of insurance cases cover this). If not, your out-of-pocket cost won't exceed $60 for 30 pills (30 pills/mo for progesterone, $22 for 10 tabs of letrozole, and $15 for 30 pills of metformin).
How do I refill my prescription?
Refill by contacting Alto Pharmacy directly, using their phone number: 1 (800) 874-5881
You get up to 3 refills with this purchase.
If you need more refills after these, please purchase this product again so Dr Aimee can review your medical history and make sure the medications prescribed are still medically appropriate for you.
