Path to Pregnancy - Gold

Proov Path to Pregnancy is a 3 month program designed to provide you with affordable, at-home fertility treatment. We are providing a way to optimize as many things in this path to pregnancy as possible to maximize the chance of pregnancy each cycle while trying to conceive at home. Some of the common challenges people have with getting pregnant are finding the right time to “try,” issues with sperm, and issues with ovulation. We are happy to be able to identify and now treat common issues by offering 5 key benefits:

• We start by assessing your hormones and ovarian reserve. (And your partner’s sperm!) This helps us make sure your ovaries are working properly and you have enough eggs left. 
• We provide the most comprehensive monitoring for hormones to find your 5-6 day fertile window. These days are the few days each cycle that intercourse/insemination is most likely to result in fertilization of the egg. 
• Dr. Aimee will review your medical information to prescribe you progesterone if you qualify. Progesterone is what prepares your uterus for implantation.
• We will monitor your hormones for an initial rise in PdG which means you released an egg and are ready to start the progesterone medication. You will take progesterone starting just after ovulation to support implantation.
• You will continue to take progesterone until you are 10 weeks pregnant as it will help support early pregnancy.

So many different things need to happen in order to get pregnant. In order for conception to occur you need a mature egg to be released from the ovary, the egg to be fertilized by a sperm, the fertilized egg to travel down the fallopian tube to the uterus. Once it reaches the uterus, the uterus has to be ready, and the embryo has to implant and grow. At any stage, there can be challenges, and many of those challenges can be overcome with knowledge and treatment. Some issues can be overcome affordably at home. We want to empower you at every stage with knowledge and support.

Yes, progesterone is a natural hormone your body makes after ovulation. Studies show that up to 50% of women have low progesterone after ovulation, especially people who are older than 35, have a higher BMI, or have endometriosis or PCOS. In fact, progesterone is a medication given to almost all patients doing IVF and other fertility treatments. Many studies show progesterone increases treatment success rates significantly. Therefore, as long as the progesterone is started after ovulation, the hormone will either help increase your chances of pregnancy or do nothing. When taken correctly, progesterone won’t harm your chances. Think of progesterone as the prenatal vitamin for your uterus.

Proov Complete kits help you figure out how to best time intercourse or insemination. The progesterone treatment is going to go a long way to ensure that your uterus is prepared optimally for a successful pregnancy. Proov Path to Pregnancy also includes important instructions created by Dr. Aimee Eyvazzadeh, a world-renowned fertility doctor, about how to use the Proov kits and progesterone to optimize your success.

Make sure you have already taken at least one Proov test kit and received an ovulation score. You can find this score in your Proov app. Then use the Virtual Assistant to order your progesterone. You will receive a prescription for 6 months of progesterone treatment. We want to make things easy for you, so the progesterone will be delivered to your home.

After you use the Virtual Assistant, you will receive an email from Dr. Aimee Eyvazzadeh with detailed instructions about how to take your progesterone. Please refer back to these frequently to make sure you’re taking it at the right time and in the right way.

If you are taking progesterone and you think you might be pregnant, please refer to the email with edirections from Dr. Aimee says that progesterone can be taken into the first trimester.

If you purchased Proov Path to Pregnancy - Gold, please set up your 1:1 consultation to review your cycles. If you haven’t yet, you will want to have your partner’s sperm tested with a Proov YO Sperm Test. Even though nothing may be wrong, you may want to consider a consultation with your doctor to investigate things like: an ultrasound of your uterus, checking if your fallopian tubes are blocked with an HSG x-ray test, and additional blood tests like TSH, A1C, etc. If your initial ovulation score was on the lower end, you may want to arrange a consultation with Frame Fertility (chat with the virtual assistant to arrange that).

Proov’s ovulation score is calculated by looking at your PdG levels – PdG is a progesterone metabolite measured in urine. With each cycle, you should use your Proov Complete test to confirm ovulation.

Progesterone medication is like a prenatal vitamin for your uterus. It is not able to induce ovulation if your body is not able to effectively release an egg. If you have concerns about whether your body is doing that, you can review your Proov ovulation scores during non-medicated cycles. You can also talk with your doctor about your concerns.

If you start progesterone medication before Dr. Aimee’s email instructions indicate, it could prevent you from releasing an egg in this cycle. You can continue taking the medication in this cycle and if you don’t get pregnant you can use Dr. Aimee’s directions and the Proov Complete test to calculate the timing correctly next cycle.

Miscarriages can sometimes be caused by low progesterone, but can also be caused by many other factors. Progesterone has been clinically shown to decrease miscarriage rates by up to 30% in women with a history of pregnancy loss.
